Policies
Cancellations & No-Shows
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations. Groomers are paid on commission, and
no-shows result in lost income. Missed appointments will be charged the full price of the scheduled Essential
Groom.
De-Matting
If a dog arrives with matting, a $1 per minute de-matting fee will apply-but only if it can be done humanely.
Ben does not specialize in de-matting. Severely matted dogs will be referred to a veterinarian or specialty
groomer for their safety and comfort.
Preparing Your Dog for Grooming
Want to make sure your pup has the best possible grooming experience? Here are a few tips to help things
go smoothly:
- Brush and comb between visits: Helps prevent matting and keeps your dog's coat healthy. Regular
maintenance makes grooming more comfortable-and faster.
- Exercise before the appointment: A walk or potty break helps your dog relax and burn off nervous energy.
- Avoid feeding right before drop-off: Helps prevent nausea, stress, and accidents on the grooming table.
- Be honest about behavior or health issues: Transparency helps Ben tailor your dog's care to their specific
needs.
Timing:
Plan for 1.5 to 4 hours depending on your dog's breed, haircut style, coat condition, size, temperament, and
the service booked. Ben will send a message when your dog is ready for pickup-no guessing required.
